Either way, this Knowledge Base article will instruct you on how to export emails in webmail using Roundcube so you can save them to your computer.

How to Export Emails in Webmail using Roundcube

Step 1: Login to your Webmail. Usually, you can do this by visiting https://webmail.yourdomain.tld. Once you’ve logged in, select Roundcube, if you are given a choice.

Step 2: Once your Inbox is open, find the message you wish to export and select them.

Pro Tip;

At this time, it’s not possible to export multiple messages at the same time from Roundcube. This is a limitation of the Roundcube software, not ChemiCloud.

Step 3: Look for and click on the More icon in the menu at the top. In the little menu that appears, click Export.

The email message will be downloaded as a .eml file and saved to the default Downloads folder set by your browser.

You can now save this file to a backup program of your choice, like Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, and more, or you can open it in applications like Thunderbird and Microsoft Outlook.

How to Import or Export Contacts in Webmail https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/import-export-contacts-in-webmail/ https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/import-export-contacts-in-webmail/#respond Thu, 28 Jan 2021 20:25:46 +0000 https://chemicloud.com/kb/?post_type=ht_kb&p=4517 Horde and Roundcube both provide options for importing and exporting your address book, which is super handy if you prefer to use webmail instead of an application like Outlook, Windows Mail, or Apple Mail.

This article will help you import and export contacts in Webmail using Horde or RoundCube.

How to Import Contacts In Webmail

How to Import Contacts In Horde

Please remember that in cPanel version 108, Horde no longer exists. So if you’re using one of the latest cPanel versions, you should scroll down and see the tutorial for Roundcube.

The process top import in Horde is a bit more involved than Roundcube, considering Horde is primarily used as groupware software for businesses and organizations to collaborate and it has some advanced features.

Important:

This portion of the KB Article presumes you already have a contacts.csv file exported from a different webmail product or mail app.

Step 1: Log in to your Webmail. There’s a lot of ways to do this but usually, the easiest is to visit https://www.yourdomain.com/webmail

Step 2: Once Horde is open, click the Address Book tab at the top. When the Address Book page opens, click Import/Export from the menu on the left.

Step 3: Next, the Import Address Book screen will open.

Ensure the format of the source file is set to a comma-separated value, in step 1.
Then choose the file from your computer.
Finally, click next.

Step 4: The next screen is the Import Step 2 process. This screen asks you to validate some information regarding the CSV file you are using to import the contacts. Typically the default settings are fine and you can continue by clicking Next.

Step 5: Part three of the import process in Horde will prompt you for some customizations which you can do, however, most of the time these aren’t necessary unless you want to customize them.

You can proceed by clicking Next. This will complete the import.

Step 6: You should see a green text box appear in the bottom right corner saying the CSV file successfully imported.

To test if your contacts are there, click Browse in the top left corner.

As you can see, the one contact I imported from my CSV file imported successfully!

If you experienced an error, the import didn’t complete properly, or your imported contacts look weird, contact us by opening a ticket from your Client Area or using live chat 27×7 and our Happiness Engineers will get you sorted in no time flat!

How to Import Contacts In Roundcube

Importing contacts into Roundcube is arguably an easier process than Horde.

Step 1: Log in to your Webmail. There’s a lot of ways to do this but usually, the easiest is to visit https://www.yourdomain.com/webmail

Step 2: Click Contacts on the left of Roundcube.

Step 3: On the Contacts page, click Import in the menu from the top.

Step 4: In the modal that appears, choose your contacts.csv file and click the blue-ish import button.

After importing, you will see a screen that confirms how many of your contacts were imported.

Just click the x in the top right corner to go back to the Contacts list.

And that’s it! Now you’ve imported your Contacts into RoundCube.

How to Export Contacts in Webmail

How to export contacts in Horde

Step 1: Log in to your Webmail. There’s a lot of ways to do this but usually, the easiest is to visit https://www.yourdomain.com/webmail

Step 2: Once Horde is open, click the Address Book tab at the top. When the Address Book page opens, click Import/Export from the menu on the left.

Step 3: Next, the Import / Export Address Book screen will open.

Beneath the Export Address Book section, ensure the format is set to Comma Separated Values and ensure the address book you’re exporting is the one called Address Book, not Shared Address Book.

Then click Export. A file called contacts.csv will automatically be saved to your system.

That’s it! Now you have exported your contacts from Horde.

How to export contacts in RoundCube

Step 1: Log in to your Webmail. There’s a lot of ways to do this but usually, the easiest is to visit https://www.yourdomain.com/webmail

Step 2: Click Contacts on the left of RoundCube.

Step 3: In the menu at the top, click the downward-facing triangle next to Export and click Export All.

A file called contacts.csv will be downloaded and saved to your computer!

That’s it! Now you have exported all of your contacts from RoundCube.

How To Install RainLoop in cPanel https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/install-rainloop-in-cpanel/ https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/install-rainloop-in-cpanel/#comments Thu, 14 Jan 2021 20:05:54 +0000 https://chemicloud.com/kb/?post_type=ht_kb&p=4294 Are you bored of Roundcube and Horde? Not to worry! RainLoop is available in your Softaculous Web Apps Installer for a fresh, modern take on webmail. RainLoop also has modern features such as reCAPTCHA and 2-Factor Authentication plugins which bolster security to your webmail.

In this tutorial, we will cover how to install & configure RainLoop Webmail.

How To Install RainLoop in cPanel

Step 1: Login to your cPanel. If you’re a ChemiCloud customer, there’s a lot of ways to do this, but the sure fire easiest way is to login to your Client Area, then open your cPanel.

Step 2: In cPanel, scroll down to the Software section and click Softaculous Apps Installer to open Softaculous.

Step 3: Once Softaculous is open, click Mails on the left side and when it expands, click RainLoop Webmail. When the RainLoop page opens, click Install Now.

Step 4: On the Software Setup Screen, you’ll have several options. Let’s review them.

Under Choose Installation URL, you have the option to choose a URL in which to install RainLoop.

Due to limitations with cPanel, you will not be able to install RainLoop in a directory named Webmail successfully. Accessing your domain.tld/webmail with a cPanel Host will always result in your webmail choice of Horde or Roundcube opening, not RainLoop.

Because of this limitation, we recommend installing RainLoop in another directory with a name such as mail, or rainloop, or webmail2, for example. In this example, we’re going to use mail as the directory.

Under Site Settings, you can name your RainLoop site title. This will appear in the browser tab as the Site Title when you open RainLoop. You can name this anything you choose.

Next, we have our IMAP and SMTP Settings. Think of RainLoop as another email client, like Apple Mail or Outlook. Like those apps, it needs to know how to communicate with the mail server to send and receive email.

Looking for a web hosting alternative? đź‘€ Join the growing club of happy customers who made the switch to better, faster web hosting!

The IMAP and SMTP Settings are the same settings you would use in one of the same email apps.

Ensure your settings are as follows:

IMAP Settings:
Server Address: mail.yourdomain.tld
IMAP Port: 993
Connection Type: SSL/TLS

SMTP Settings:
Server Address: mail.yourdomain.tld
SMTP Port: 465
Connection Type: SSL/TLS

Next, is the Admin Account. This is the login to administer functions of RainLoop. It’s important to create a secure login for this account.

Lastly, you have the option to choose the language for the RainLoop site itself and also the language for the Admin area.

To complete the installation, click the blue Install button at the bottom.

Step 5: After the installation is completed, you’ll see a screen like the one below:

Take note of the two URLs you have, particularly the Admin URL. You’ll need the Admin URL for the next section.

How to Configure RainLoop for Use

Next, you will need to make some modifications to RainLoop’s Configuration before you can use it. Don’t worry, this won’t take but a minute!

Step 1: Click the Admin URL to open the Administrative Login for RainLoop and enter the Admin Credentials you setup when you installed RainLoop in the last step.

Step 2: Once you are logged in, click Domains on the left. Then uncheck the option next to Gmail.

Pro Tip:

Changes you make in the Admin area of RainLoop are automatically saved, there is no need to look for a Save Button.

That’s it!

Now, open a new tab in your browser and visit https://www.yourdomain.tld/<your-rainloop-directory> and you should be able to login as any of the email accounts you have created in your cPanel > Email Accounts area.

How to Easily Create an Email Signature in Webmail https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/email-signature-in-webmail/ https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/email-signature-in-webmail/#comments Wed, 09 Dec 2020 17:03:53 +0000 https://chemicloud.com/kb/?post_type=ht_kb&p=3870 Having an email signature is really handy. Not only are they useful for sharing your contact details with others, but they can also be used to promote your social media, or include other information you deem important. In fact, you may be one of many who have a pre-set signature, something they’ve totally customized and use in Mac Mail or Microsoft Outlook. Having that signature automatically inserted at the end of each message you send in Webmail would be super handy for those times you check your mail in a browser, wouldn’t it?

This KB article will guide you through the setup of a Email Signature in Roundcube webmail.

Please remember that in cPanel version 108, Horde no longer exists. So if you’re using one of the latest cPanel versions, you should use the tutorial for Roundcube.

How to Create an Email Signature in Webmail using Roundcube

Step 1: Login to your Webmail. There’s a number of ways to do this, but for me, the easiest way is to go to https://webmail.mydomain.tld, where “mydomain.tld” is your domain name.

If your web host uses cPanel, your webmail login may look like this:

Step 2: Open Your Inbox. When logging into Webmail on a system that runs cPanel for the first time, you are presented with the option to choose your Webmail Client Application, among other features.

To open Roundcube, click the blue open button.

Important Note:

You have the option to check the box adjacent to “Open my inbox when I login”. If you check this box, Roundcube will open automatically after logging into webmail by default.

Step 3: On the left side of Roundcube, click Settings.

Then click Identities.

Roundcube gives you the option to have multiple identities for sending / receiving mail. For this KB article, we are only working with the default identity that comes with Roundcube, which is the one that is created with your email account.

Step 4: You’ll have the option to edit a few options in this area.

Email signature in Roundcube

Display Name is the name other people will see when they receive email from you.
Email should be your email address. It is advised not to change this text.
Organization is optional field that you can use if you work for a business and want to include their name.
Reply-To is an optional field you can use if you want replies to email messages sent from this account to go somewhere else.
BCC is a useful option if you have an assistant or archive email and want to Blind Carbon Copy a message to that account each time you send an email from this account.
Set default should be enabled if this is the default signature you want to use.

The final option is the Signature field. By default, Roundcube is setup to use Plain Text Signatures. This type of signature doesn’t support making links, inserting images, or making text colored, bolded, or italicized.

If you want those options, you’ll need to switch to the HTML Editor.

After switching to the HTML Editor, you will see a row of icons have appeared giving you a set of formatting controls for your signature:

If it helps, you can try out the free email signature template generator by HubSpot.

Step 5: After creating your signature, be sure to click the blue Save button to save changes.

Now, the next time you compose an email in Roundcube Webmail, you will automatically see the signature is included.

That’s it! Now you know how to configure your signature in Roundcube Webmail.

If it helps, you can try out the free email signature template generator by HubSpot.

That’s it! Now you’ve configured your signature in Roundube!

We hope you find this Knowledgebase article helpful! You’ll find our Hosting to be just as good!
